Over 1 Crore Indians have lost their jobs because of the second wave of Covid-19, and around 97 per cent of households have faced income loss since the beginning of the pandemic last year, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) chief executive Mahesh Vyas said.
Speaking on India Today's special show News Today with Rajdeep Sardesai, CMIE Managing Directors Mahesh Vyas said, The 15 million jobs lost are basically the daily wage labourers. There has been a fall in the running of small enterprises."
