Yeelight has announced its release of the source code of the Yeelight Chroma Connector as part of the Yeelight Open Source Program at the Razer Devcon 2021 on May 7. At the same time, Yeelight has also launched two of its new products compatible with Razer Chroma--Yeelight Smart LED Color Bulb W3 and Yeelight LED Screen Light Bar Pro, which also joined the Razer DevCon as the session rewards this year.
The open-source project has been made publicly available on May 7. All programmers can search on Github with the keyword "Yeelight Chroma Connector" to access the code. Yeelight believes this is a way to give back to the open-source community, which allows more people to connect to the Razer Chroma RGB Lighting Ecosystem, and thus, helps promote the ecosystem.
"With the Yeelight Open Source Program, we hope to give back to the community." says Victoria Wang, Strategic Partnership Manager at Yeelight, "Meanwhile, we welcome all the programmers to contribute their code and add new features to this project. Eventually, we want to make the Yeelight Chroma Connector truly for gamers, by gamers!"
