US Department of Education Under Secretary James Kvaal visited with some of the inmates who were participating in the Calvin Prison Initiative Program, and spoke with them about their commitment to finding purpose and earning the respect of their families.

The program, now in its 8th year, allows inmates to pursue a Bachelor's degree in faith and community leadership.

He talked about what makes this program in Ionia County so unique.
