Slipknot - Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses) Unboxing
The cover of the album was previously published in early April 2004 on MTV.com on the Internet. The cover shows a "frenzy", made of leather mask, which is provided with a zipper. The mask was designed by one of the two percussionists Slipknots Shawn Crahan and was available for purchase later in the band. In the music video for Vermillion she also found use and is carried by the protagonist at the meeting with the band. This mask is called Maggot mask, as fans of the band are called Maggots.
Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) was Slipknot's first studio album that was not marked with the Parental Advisory sticker; Guitarist Mick Thomson said in an interview in 2008 that Corey Taylor had taken care to avoid words of abuse in songwriting in order to live up to his own [musical] claim.
On April 12, 2005 Slipknot released a special edition of the album, which contains four live recordings and two new songs of the band. Furthermore, there is also a remix of Vermillion and the full version of the final song Danger - Keep Away to find.
