It is imperative that Christians have a basic understanding of U.S. and Israel relations. This is important because the Bible makes it clear that people groups and countries will be blessed when they honor the Hebrew people, when they honor Israel. Read what the Word of God says about Israel and consider these Bible verses in the light of current U.S. and Israel relations:

• Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
• Psalm 122:6: “Pray for peace in Jerusalem. May all who love this city prosper.”
• Isaiah 60:12: “For the nations that refuse to serve you will be destroyed.”

American believers need to know what their elected officials think of Israel and whether they will vote in favor of or against strong U.S. and Israel relations.
