(13 Mar 2018) White House Adviser Ivanka Trump met with members of Congress and others at the White House on Tuesday to discuss Trump administration efforts to combat sex trafficking.
Two bills aimed at sex trafficking are currently moving through Congress.
In the House, the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act would provide justice for sex trafficking victims and make sure websites that make trafficking possible can be brought to justice.
The proposal was introduced in August by a bipartisan group of 19 lawmakers.
The Senate is considering a separate bill, the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act, better known as FOSTA, which targets websites that facilitate prostitution.
