No decision was made Monday on how the four suspects in the Craig Rideout murder case will be tried.
Rideout's estranged wife Laura, her boyfriend Paul Tucci and Rideout's sons Colin and Alex all face murder charges in the case.
During a hearing Monday, we expected to find out if the suspects would be tried together or separately. However, that decision has been pushed back to Wednesday. The delay came after attorneys for the suspect filed a number of last minute motions over the weekend asking the judge important questions about what evidence will be allowed against which defendant.
The judge says he needs more time to decide.
Each defense lawyer is fighting for their client separately and they want to make sure no one is convicted by hearsay or declared "guilty by association." At Monday's hearing, they were asking to sever the trials and requesting that certain emails and texts that went between family members to not be allowed.
