Which country will be the next superpower in 2050 and 2100? More importantly, will any country ever surpass the USA? Here, I present my own viewpoint, which, though not a scientific projection, in my opinion, is probable because it is based on the current trends that are unfolding around the world right now. China's population is falling, which is not good news for a country that depends on its dynamic workforce and India suddenly came out of the blue as the most populous nation in 2023. I believe this makes India a potential superpower and a candidate for future world leadership. That said, I believe China will be the first to surpass the United States economically and obviously has great aspirations for building a global cultural influence. As a matter of fact, China has been shooting some very high-grossing action movies over the past few years, which could end up challenging Hollywood in the coming decades. And it is no secret that China wants to build up its military to a level comparable with or superior to the US military. As I explained in the video, a superpower must have these three things: 1-) The largest economy, which translates into GDP. 2-) The strongest army, which I think is equivalent to the strongest air force because aircraft technology is more important than having the largest land army. 3-) Cultural influence, which basically means having the top film industry as we all know how effective Hollywood was in the late 20th century in crafting a positive global image for the United States. These are the three indices I examined and predicted here. I tried to forecast in the most sensible manner how these three elements of global influence would be distributed among the USA, China, and India. By doing that, I basically compared these three great world powers and my conclusion is there will be no single superpower in 2100. The US will be weakened but not bested. China will be a stagnant economic and military giant with no soft power. And India will be the top economy with worldwide cultural influence.
