Gollum actor Andy Serkis will do a continuous live reading of the Hobbit - and he's promised to do 'all the voices'. Money raised from the performance, expected to last 10 to 12 hours, will be donated to NHS Charities Together and Best Beginnings.
UPDATE: The actor raised at least £280,000 for the performance.
