* This video has subtitles providing extra information * Hiking in Castellar de la Frontera, combining different paths in the Parque Natural Los Alcornocales in an area with a lot of wildlife like deer, wild boar and Griffon vultures. Following the medieval road "La Calzada" till the mountain top village of Castillo de Castellar with an impressive medieval castle, then continuing by going down to the lake and encountering some prehistoric tombs. Finish via the well known "Ruta de la Mariposa Monarca", the Monarch butterfly trail, along the Guadarranque river. An easy trek of 23 km with a combined elevation of 603 m.
