Hey, guys! Great news for Jeff Bridges fans as The Old Man Season 2 has just been officially confirmed by FX. The Season 2 renewal announcement came just three episodes into the debut season run, and such swift renewal decision did not surprise us a bit. First off, viewers and critics alike LOVE the new spy thriller series, which is reflected in the sky-high approval scores on Rotten Tomatoes: 88 and 94%. Viewers praise everything – from acting and the suspense, to the brilliant storytelling. At 72 and 76 years old, Jeff Bridges, who plays Dan Chase, and John Lithgow, who plays Harold Harper, are still very much on top of their acting game. Most importantly, the premiere of The Old Man became the most-watched scripted show debut this year for FX. The director of The Old Man is 40-year old American filmmaker Jon Watts, who directed the recent Spider-Man movie trilogy. The new FX series is based on the same-name novel by Thomas Perry, published in 2017. Now, since this is a standalone novel with no sequels, we can’t have a peak into a potential storyline for Season 2: we’ll just have to wait and see what the creative team comes up with.
