In this video, you'll how to use a blacklight or UV light to find areas where your dog or cat urinated. There a number of tricks to finding every spot the animal peed. And, unless you find every spot with a blacklight, eliminating the urine smell will basically be impossible.

The first step to eliminating urine smells or odors, whether they be from cats, dogs or humans, is to find the source of the odor. When asking yourself, "How can I find the places my cat urinated or peed so I can remove the smell?, a blacklight isn't the first thing that comes to mind. (A U.V. light is the same thing as a black light.) But, a blacklight is by far the best way to find the areas where your cat went to the bathroom outside of its litter box.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to locate the source of cat urine smells is using the wrong kind of black light. As the video outlines, a modern blacklight is necessary.
