The Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa is an organization of six independent states in Central Africa: Cameroon,

Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

The population of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa is about 55,2 million people.

The Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa was created in 1994 and became operational after the treaty’s ratification

in 1999.

The official currency of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa is the Central African CFA franc (XAF).

Central African CFA franc banknotes are: 500 francs CFA, 1000 francs CFA, 2000 francs CFA, 5000 francs CFA, 10000 francs CFA.
Central African CFA franc coins are: 1 franc CFA, 2 francs CFA, 5 francs CFA, 10 francs CFA, 25 francs CFA, 50 francs CFA, 100

francs CFA, 500 francs CFA.
