June 2021 Demo.
Every Arcade level world record - performed by SN Mortar (me :)).
Waste Management - good
Redhouse - decent-ish
Red Processing - good (for a no wallbang route, didnt dabble in wallbangs until after)
Cafeteria - ok (had 0.3 faster run but couldnt find its recording. this one was more fancy looking anyway)
Cybermedicine - meh (stupid AI pathing at the end)
-Are these records optimised?
Of course not. Important speedtech developments present themselves over time and some big ones were found after these runs were done. Routes and strategies strengthen over time. I made almost all of these routes on my own in a limited amount of time, during various states of total knowledge.
Cybermedicine was the one with 'borrowed' strategies, from Meta, though I had my own things sprinkled in there. And finally, my aim simply isn't anything beyond average. This is a very aim heavy speedgame, the best aimers will flourish. New speedtech developments only help so much.
-Difficulty?
Lowest, with advantage Mutators activated. Molten Steel speedruns were pretty rare and nobody to my knowledge actually tried to push traditional Molten Steel runs in Demo 2. I did in Demo 1 but opted out this time. Instead, I did a few miscellaneous challenge runs. Lowest difficulty focuses on the fundamentals of core route building and raw pace. Molten Steel focuses on routing with stunts as well as lines.
Notes: There are major glitches that allow better times, such as one that infested the leaderboard that made all enemies seemingly bug out and fall to their deaths, allowing all levels to be completed up to 5.5s. Or the one that lets you spawn in different, offset, positions. I don't count these as legitimate, neither does the rest of the community.
