Falling out of handstand
It’s okay if you don’t get the handstand right away. One of the best things you can learn is to fall out of your
handstand when things go astray. Start with setting up for handstand:
▸▸ Begin in downward facing dog
▸▸ Shift your shoulders over your wrists and step one foot closer to your hands
▸▸ Lift your back leg up in the air and keep your gaze past your fingers
▸▸ Keep your arms straight to prevent buckling
▸▸ Bend your base leg and begin hopping it forward to shift your hips over your shoulders
At this point you’ll want to practice a cartwheel-style fall out of your handstand
▸▸ Step one hand forward and externally rotate your hip of your upper leg
▸▸ Bend your knees to brace your fall land in a ninja-style squat
