INGREDIENTS
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 and ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cloves
2 large eggs
1/3 cup white sugar
1 and ½ cup ripe bananas (mashed)
½ cup and 2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 and ½ cup chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, mix all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Take a tablespoon of the flour mixture and add this to the chocolate chips. This helps the chips from sticking together.
In another bowl and the banana, eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla and mix well.
Fold in the flour mixture, add in the chocolate chips and fold well.
Prepare a loaf pan and grease this with butter. Place the batter in and spread it evenly. Top with more chocolate chips.
Bake in a 350°F or 175°C preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes. Using a toothpick, poke the middle of the bread, this should come out clean or with dry bits if it’s fully baked.
Cool before scraping the sides, take the bread out to cool fully.
Slice and serve!
