Safe to say, she was very much interpreting both the words and emotion of the music during the clip.
Keen to emphasise the accessibility services they were offering at their shows, the group showed off the expert interpreter on social media.
The video, taken during the group’s performance of megahit Fix You, showed her signing the lyrics passionately to ‘And ignite your bones / And I will try to fix you’ before rocking out to guitarist Jonny Buckland’s stirring guitar break with some expert air guitar of her own.
The segment was finished with clapping and a flourish as the camera panned to Coldplay on the stage behind her.
‘We want our concerts to be accessible to everyone and for everyone to have the best possible experience,’ the caption written on the clip read.
‘At every show we offer local sign language interpreters for our D/deaf and hard of hearing guests so that they can feel a stronger connection to the music.’
Coldplay’s followers on Instagram were entranced by the interpreter, sharing their admiration in the comments.
‘So beautiful,’ wrote one, while another added: ‘Music can really be for everyone ❤️❤️❤️.’
‘What emotion! Thanks @coldplay you are the best band of my new universe,’ commented a third.
One fan also shared her family’s experience with the interpreters working during Coldplay’s Glasgow gig.
‘On the way home from seeing coldplay tonight with my Deaf mama,’ she shared. ‘The BSL interpreters were INCREDIBLE, it’s an experience i will treasure forever. thank you [sic].’
