(24 Nov 2016) Ukrainians remained optimistic on Thursday over a European Union decision on a potential visa-free regime, despite its postponement.
European Council President Donald Tusk said that Ukraine had met all the conditions to receive visa-free travel in Europe for its citizens and that he hoped the visa waiver could be granted by the end of the year.
Some residents of the Ukrainian capital Kiev said the postponement was predictable because of the conflict in the east of the country and the lack of progress in reforms.
