For many musicians, a 1963 Gibson SG with its three pickups and Classic White finish has probably always been an unattainable dream. But it's never too late – today this dream can finally come true! Thanks to the meticulous guitar builders from the Gibson Custom Shop, an authentic reissue of a 1963 Gibson SG was created that is very similar to the old originals in terms of look, feel and sound. The highlight is an elaborate aging process carried out with great attention to detail, which bears the signature of aging guru Tom Murphy. ULA (Ultra Light Aging) – a subtle aging with minimal dings & dongs, patina hardware and light signs of lacquer checking. This 1963 Gibson SG gives the impression of a well cared for guitar that, like a prized possession, has always been carefully kept in its case and played occasionally. The specs are strictly based on the original and offer the very best that the Gibson Custom Shop has to offer: Golden hardware, Maestro Vibrola, 1-Pc. mahogany body, slim taper neck and a classic ebony fretboard. The three Alnico III CustomBucker pickups are used exclusively in high-quality Custom Shop instruments and – like the original – were equipped with the classic Gibson 3 pickup wiring. Result: Fantastic sound variations for eternity!
