Living-donor liver transplantation (LDLT) is a life-saving procedure for patients on the transplant waiting list. The purpose of this video is to discuss the complex conditions that may lead to the need for a liver transplant. The American Liver Foundation has teamed up with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) - pioneers and leading experts in organ transplantation - to provide an overview of the procedure, including risks and benefits for donor and recipient.
The American Liver Foundation along with Dr. Abhinav Humar, MD, Chief, Transplantation at UPMC presents a compelling overview of living donor liver transplantation. You'll also hear from Tony Scro, a living donor transplant recipient about his story. To learn more about this, visit the Living Donor Liver Transplant information center here… [ Ссылка ].
