Plasma is an ionized gas created from extreme heat,or pressure. Plasma contains electrons that have been stripped from the nucleus.
If you take a gas and heat it up to very high temperatures the electrons may leave the nucleus. This results in an ionized gas with electrons moving about.
Plasma has the ability to conduct electricity. Some natural examples of plasma include lightning and the northern lights.
