Roger L. Easton: He is an American physicist and scientist, known as the main inventor
and designer of the Global Positioning System (GPS). Easton worked as a physicist at the United States Naval Research Laboratory in the 1950s. During that Over time, he helped create the Naval Space Surveillance System and Project Vanguard. During the 1960s and 1970s, Easton led the development of a navigation systembased on satellites that eventually became GPS. GPS is a system ofglobal navigation using satellite signals to determine position and speedof objects on Earth. The system is widely used in land navigation,maritime and airborne, as well as in agriculture, cartography and military applications.
