The Triumph TR line of sports cars is a long and illustrious back catalogue, that some purists say ended with the TR6. It didn't, the TR7 was the last all-new car to wear the TR badge – despite lacking the lusty six-cylinder engine of its forebears and initially lacking a convertible variant, not to mention being specifically tailored for the American market from day one, that divisive Harris Mann styling and Britain never getting the V8-powered TR8 that the US did, Joe thinks it remains a credible classic sports car that deserves far more recognition.
