Biopharma leaders Dr. Mark Tennyson and Dr. Maya Sharma lead discussion of the challenges and opportunities that medical affairs leaders must prepare for. Dr. Mark Tennyson is a senior medical affairs executive and a member of the Board for ACMA Asia. He has held leadership positions in several international Biopharma companies with a focus on Asia Pacific. He most recently undertook a rotation of senior leadership roles in Hong Kong and Japan for Amgen as Regional Head of Medical, GM/President JAPAN and Regional Head of Value, Access & Policy.
Dr. Tennyson trained in Medicine at the University of London and currently holds General and Specialist Registration as a Physician in Australia.
Dr. Maya Sharma currently serves as Global Medical Director for Modi Group, which includes Win Medicare, Modi-Mundipharma and Signutra. She has almost 20 years of experience across the healthcare sphere, including clinical, pharmaceutical, nutrition and medical devices experience at AstraZeneca, Abbott and Philips. She is also a member of the ACMA Asia Board.
Dr. Sharma has learned and worked in a number of different countries, providing her with an appreciation for the operational and cultural nuances of different regions around the world. After finishing her medical training, she completed advanced degrees in clinical research and international business.
