Please remember, the City of Dayton has changed its leaf collection process. Instead of raking leaves to the curb, leaves now must be placed in paper bags, and set at the curb line for collection. Leaves placed in plastic bags, and loose leaves that have been raked to the curb will not be collected. City crews will be collecting leaves through the last week of December. As an alternative, residents can drop off leaves at three locations: behind the Lohrey Community Center, the Gettysburg Landfill, or the Wagoner Ford Landfill. You can also create a compost pile in your yard as a practical and convenient way to handle yard waste. For questions or to view your leaf collection schedule, call the Public Works Call Center at 333-4800, or go to www.dayton ohio dot gov
