In part 1 of this video I discuss some of the methods and details used to build a 7.5" gauge railroad flat car/tender for use with my live steam locomotive. I cover some basic construction methods including welding, drilling, basic wood working, and other fabrication skills to build this project. I also discuss the materials I used, such as oak shipping pallet boards for the decking material. Stay tuned for Part 2 where I assemble everything!
