1999 was the peak of Florida State's college football dominance. Legendary head coach Bobby Bowden not only picked up his 300th all-time win during the season, but they capped it off as undefeated national champions with a Sugar bowl win over Virginia Tech. The Noles had the Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke at QB, and Weinke's favorite target Peter Warrick was arguably the best receiver in the country.
Their dominance was on full display in early October as the No. 1 ranked Noles played Duke in Jacksonville. Warrick caught three touchdowns in the first quarter alone, Weinke threw five touchdown passes and 290 yards, and the future national champs rolled the Blue Devils 51-23.
11 players from the 1999 Florida State roster ended up in the NFL, including other notable names like Anquan Boldin, Sebastian Janikowski and Laveranues Coles.
