This video defines what a pulmonary embolism (PE) is and then goes over what happens in the body during a pulmonary embolism. It discusses risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnosis and prevention and treatment. Since PE can be a fatal condition, it is important that individuals know what to look for so that they, or their loved ones, seek proper medical attention.
