The Sigma FP is quite an underrated little Camera.
I agree in many points to some of the "not so good" review´s but what this little camera is capable of- with 12bit DNG is in my eyes nearly magical.
it's not a point ant shoot video camera by any means, but if you are willing to invest some time in set and setup, then you will get rewarded with outstanding image quality.
I have gone through many cameras and brands and everyone has it's pros and cons, but for me, in terms of video, the Sigma can definitely compete with much pricier cameras.
this sample video was shot last year in my holidays in the Netherlands.
I just bought the camera before the trip and decided to play around.
The light conditions weren't good so I went in a park where I found deep shadows and extremely bright light.
At home I checked the footage and it looked, let´s say not really good, but in DaVinci Resolve you could easily recover the shadows, and in contrast to some other cameras- the blown out highlights.(I know, it's not a fair comparsion: 12bit DNG vs 8bit 4.2.0) but the camera is simply capable of this.
This is of course, only my humble opinion- there are many outstanding cameras out there, but I felt the Sigma got little underrated.
