There's no doubt that the digitech whammy was a game changing pedal back in the day and there are few pedals that are more fun to use. However, they take up a massive amount of pedalboard space and you probably don't use it that much. So in this video I demonstrate 8 uses for the digitech whammy, then demo 4 pedalboard friendly alternatives. At the end I will shoot all 4 of them out against the whammy and give my opinions on each.
