Magens Bay Beach is one of the Top 10 beaches in the world. Protected by hills, the bay's waters are calm and ideal for swimming, and it's actually been dubbed the "best beach in the Caribbean."

Located in St. Thomas, amongst the U.S. Virgin Isles, Magens Bay is a popular tourist destination you can visit with most tours. A short ride from the cruise port (5.5 miles) in Charlotte Amalie, it's usually an early stop. That's a good thing, too, as the beach fills up pretty quickly, with most seating claimed by 10 AM.

If you're not with a tour group, the cost is $5 for adults and free for kids. A taxi will be around $12 - $15. The transactions are also usually cash only. However, its pristine waters and white sand shoreline make it worth the price of admission. Should you miss the morning hours though, know that the crowds will thin out by late afternoon (should you not have to return to a ship).
