"Wale made history in Howard Theatre on April 9, after being the first artist to perform in the newly renovated building. The theatre closed in 1980 and has been under renovation since 2010. Builders have restored the building to its original theme on the outside, but the inside of the theatre was modern while paying homage to past performers. Wale's fans packed into the theater and brought the building back to life."
