There's nothing more moving than seeing a pet with their loving family! On Sunday May 29th, a Ukrainian refugee was able to reunite with her beloved Pomeranian, Perseya, after her pup completed a 28-day rabies quarantine that was required to enter the United States. Perseya and her owner, along with her owner's husband and mother, traveled to Mexico from the Cherkasy region in Ukraine, fleeing the tragedy facing their country. To support refugees and their pets, San Diego Humane Society has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and U.S Customs and Border Protection to provide a safe place for pets to stay during the mandated quarantine time. We're so grateful to be able to provide this support to Ukrainian refugees, and help keep animals with the people who love them. ❤️
