Recipe 1 - Nadan chicken curry
Ingredients
chicken – 1 kg
pepper powder – 3 1/2 tspn
onion (chopped)
tomato
coconut milk
chicken masala – 1 1/2 tspn
Directions
1.Saute curry leaves in oil.
2.Saute onion until it turns brown.
3.Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilly. Saute well.
4.Add tomato into it and saute a couple of minutes.
5.Add chilly powder, chicken masala. Saute with adequate salt.
6.Add pepper powder and saute with cashew nuts.
7.Saute chicken and pour sufficient water.
8.Pour coconut milk and cook until gravy will be thicken.
9.Sprinkle some oil.
Recipe 2 - Erachi puttu
Ingredients
meat – 250 gm
puttu flour
ginger – 1 spn
turmeric powder – 1/2 tspn
meet masala -1 1/2 tspn
pepper powder – 1 tspn
salt – as required
oil – as required
Directions
1.Saute curry leaves in oil.
2.Saute onion until it turns brown.
3.Add ginger, turmeric powder, meet masala and pepper powder. Saute well.
4.Add meat and mix well. Cook for about 1/2 hours. Allow to cool and grind.
6.Prepare rice flour mixture.
7.Boil water in puttu kudam.
8.Make a first layer three table spoon rice flour mixture, second layer with meat mixture, one more layer with puttu mixture.
9.Steam for 5-8 minutes.
