In today's tutorial, Jennylyn shows you some tricks and tips for how to paint linen and cotton fabric with Fusion Mineral Paint™.

Step 1 is always to clean your surface! Vacuum off any dust and debris, and make sure the surface is good and clean before starting to paint.

Your first coat of paint with fabrics will always be a watered down coat - we recommend half water, half paint.

After this first coat is dry, feel the fabric for any roughness. Use a high grit sanding pad and only slight pressure to knock down the roughness.

Then, proceed with your next coat. You can add a little bit more paint to your mixture to get more opaque coverage on this coat.

Repeat the sanding and painting steps until you have solid coverage, or the coverage that you are looking to achieve.

You can choose to wax your fabric as a final step. This will really increase the softness and make it feel almost like leather.
