In a street in New York, a French tourist and middle-aged woman named Karine Gombu unwittingly became part of a film shooting when she gave a piece of pizza to a 'homeless man' rummaging through a garbage can. The homeless man served by Karine turned out to be Hollywood actor Richard Gere, who was filming for 'Time Out of Mind.' Gere was acting as a real homeless person on the streets, and Karine was unaware that he was not actually homeless but an actor. The film's director filmed Karine's act of kindness from a distance, and Gere did not reveal his identity. Gere described the experience as something he would "never forget" and praised Karine's warm eyes and good deed. Although the incident occurred in 2014, it has recently resurfaced through an online community. Richard Gere subsequently began volunteering to help the homeless, and Karine's good deed is being lauded as a touching moment that created another miracle.
