Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari recently inaugurated the first phase of a groundbreaking infrastructure project in Lagos, Nigeria - the Lagos Mass Transit Blue Line.
The 13-kilometer line is part of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation's (CCECC) ambitious Lagos Rail Mass Transit project
The project will span 27 kilometers when completed and feature five new stations.
The designed speed is 100 kilometers per hour with an average daily transport capacity of 300,000 passengers.
Lagos Mass Transit Blue Line is the largest infrastructure project ever invested in the state.
Buhari also witnessed the signing of the contract for the second-phase construction of the Lagos Mass Transit Blue Line Rail.
