The Philips Respironics RECALL was announced in June 2021 and this CPAP RECALL affected millions of people. It was a Philips Dreamstaion one RECALL, among many other devices. The news is that you might be able to prioritize your device to be replaced faster. This latest talk about the recall is in January 2023. Always be sure to double check the Patient Portal monthly because many things have changed since the initial recall started.

Before resuming therapy on your new or replacement machine, VISUALLY INSPECT THE FOLLOWING FOR EVIDENCE OF BLACK FOAM PARTICLES!
TUBING: MASK COMPONENTS: HUMIDIFIER TANK AND SEALS
If there is no evidence of black foam particles on any of these components:
Clean each component per their respective instructions for use.
Reassemble and resume therapy on your new device.
If visible black foam particles are evident on any of these components:
Contact your equipment provider for replacement options
(prior to restarting therapy)
