PRENUPS are probably the most taboo subject to bring up before getting married. It's often difficult to talk about because many are under the belief that wanting a prenuptial agreement means you PLAN on getting divorced.
Well, I've got news for you: nobody really PLANS on getting divorced. More likely than not, people tend to exhaust every other option before admitting they need to get divorced.
I've seen so many cases where things go sour, sometimes out of nowhere, and one (or both) person is left wishing they DID enter a prenup.
Simply put, look at a prenup as a SAFETY NET that will protect your assets. This includes your money, bank accounts, properties, etc... just in case anything occurs. It's not too different from why you would sign up for health or car insurance - you don't PLAN on bad things happening. They just happen and you want to be protected.
JUST IN CASE.
Nobody can foresee the future, so PLAY IT SAFE!
