Ankle pumps are a simple and easy way to improve balance by strengthening calf muscles and reducing fluid retention in the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Ankle pumps improve the lower body's balance strategies for better standing, transfers, and walking.
Give it all you've got! Just wiggling toes will not do it. Six to eight sets of 20-25 reps every day. Even if movement is minimal on the weak side, do it any way as this improves the connection between the brain and the weak ankle.
