"We are trying to establish the precise location of the individual or individuals who shot at the demonstrators. Also we are trying to find out where the victims fell. The objective of this investigation is to find out the ballistic trajectory and to reconstruct the events of December 6."

STORYLINE:
Strike leaders in Caracas, Venezuela, proceeded to march again on Wednesday to the National Elections Council, but drew back at the last minute for fear of clashes with Chavez supporters who were already gathered there.
The march was the latest in the month-long protests against President Hugo Chavez which have paralysed the world's fifth biggest oil exporter.
Military police were on hand to prevent any more violent clashes.
Also on Wednesday, bank workers called a work stoppage in support of the protest. The two-day walkout will start on Thursday, said Jose Torres, president of the Fetrabanca umbrella group of bank unions.
Automated teller machines will be closed, but banks will still process emergency payments, such as hospital and pharmacy bills.
Banks are already opening only three hours a day - a management decision - and citizens stand in line for hours outside before they open.
On Friday, running battles between government foes and followers and security forces killed two people and injured 78. Violent clashes four weeks earlier also cost lives. Three people were shot dead.
Police forensics were at the scene on Wednesday as efforts continue to identify those responsible.
The strike has so far been most effective within Venezuela's oil industry, which provides half the government's income and 80 percent of its export revenue.
