For our 2022 'Prestige Project, Bard Fest is pleased to present the classic "Lysistrata" by Aristophanes - a new adaptation written and directed by Mrs Holly Hathaway-Thompson. This is a lively farce that explores war, sexual politics, and the never ending battle between men and women. With themes still starting relevant today, Lysistrata asks the question, "Would men stop going to war if women denied them sex?" This performance was filmed at the Cat Theater in Carmel, Indiana on October 16, 2022. NOTE: The program contains strong suggestive scenes and is not suitable for young children. - Finally - the last 90 seconds of the program is muted due to copyright issues with the song played. -- Thanks!
