God is omniscient. He knows everything from before creation. But how did He know about sin and evil prior to the existence of sin and evil? If God is omnibenevolent, that is, wholly good, then how is it that He could even have the concept of evil? He is wholly good, yet has a concept of evil? Herman Bavinck helps us think about it through the use of a polar concept argument.
