While enjoying a few cold brews in the afternoon, the missus noticed a whale and her calf tail slapping not too far off shore ..... according to whale experts, tail slapping is usually to communicate with other whales nearby, scare prey away, as a means of defence and/or display, or to assist in the removal or barnacles.
