Just one of many ways to transfer your PS4 saved data and games onto the PS5. I recommend doing this with no other games loaded on the PS5, because if something goes wrong, you can always do a factory reset to the console. The only drawback to this method is you need to have a physical copy of the game. There are several other ways of doing this, but it is much better than transferring the game over Wi-Fi. Simply transfer over the game data you want, insert the disc of the game you want to play, wait patiently, and voila, a successful transfer.
If for some reason you run into an issue while transferring, you can always try factory resetting the PS5.
An issue I ran into was my PS4 getting stuck on the “transferring...” blue screen and my PS5 being unable to find it when searching for a data transfer. I went ahead and turned off my PS4. Then turned it back on by holding the on button for 10 seconds (this puts the PS4 in safe mode). After that just select update system and it will go back to normal.
