This will be my last video for probably a long time. My E piano started killing itself (malfunctioning), and I guess I have an excuse to take a break from uploading.
Anyways, I love this piece. I found myself listening to the original while I'm in a bus ride. I actually watched the movie more than a year after I learned it, lol. The last scene where Violet and Gilbert reunited was quite touching. She finally found her long lost person whom she wanted to tell her feelings to. I finally understood why Animenz wrote this piece, and why he wrote it this way. That said, I don't know the ins-and-outs of musical composition, but my point is, I SEE Animenz in this piece. I see his emotions when he watched the movie. It tells us something. Something hopeful.
Animenz may or may not see this message, but I want to thank him for sharing his love for anime and piano.
That aside, I found the first note (Bb3 Bb4 I think) the hardest to play for some reason. Getting the right dynamics and feel to the first note and then playing it as part of a phrase really boggled my perfectionist side. But—it is what it is.
P.S. I just realized I'm almost at 100 subs. SUBSCRI—Nah I'm kidding. It's ultimately your decision to sub to some random guy who plays piano.
