The CODA MUSIC TECH MB-1 Microphone Booster gives you +25dB of CLEAN GAIN to make your gain hungry dynamic microphones sound better.

You've probably heard about Cloudlifter, FetHead, or other mic boosters, and those are great products. But, the MB-1 is the same thing at a lower price point.
The MB-1 Mic Booster gives you +25dB of clean gain to properly drive gain hungry dynamic microphones like the Shure SM7B, Rode Procaster, EV RE20, Shure SM58, and other dynamic microphones.
Many broadcast and voice-over style dynamic mics require A LOT of gain!
The SM7B, for example, requires a MINIMUM of 60dB of gain, and performs much better with 70+dB.
Most USB and home studio interfaces just don't have that much gain. You'll find most top out at around 45-55dB of available gain.
And while you can get a useable level out of that, provided you raise the volume in post and add compression; when you drive pre-amps really hard, they often introduce noise.
If you have a HISSING sound when using your mic, you're probably driving the pre-amps too hard.
But, if you use a mic booster like the MB-1, it will give you an extra 25dB of clean gain so you don't have to drive your pre-amps as hard, and you can still get proper input levels. Plus, your mic will sound more articulate and detailed.
This is especially useful for podcasting and live-streaming since you can't go back later and fix the audio.
And, it's also useful for the studio. Even though we can raise the volume later and add compression, if our track is run-through with pre-amp noise and hiss, it will be hard to get rid of all of it without ruining the quality.
The MB-1 is powered with Phantom Power, so you don't need to plug anything into a wall outlet.
The MB-1 is ONLY for Dynamic Microphones! While Phantom Power does power the MB-1 Mic Booster unit, it does NOT pass that through to the mic. So, it will NOT work with Condenser microphones. (Nor do you need it to since condensers already require dramatically less gain.)
If you have dynamic microphones that have low input levels, you're cranking your pre-amps and adding hiss, and the mic sounds flat and muddy - you probably need MORE GAIN!
And, the CODA MUSIC TECHNOLOGIES MB-1 MICROPHONE PREAMP BOOSTER is worth checking out.
