As pandemic is not over yet and I quit my job because of some health issues, I enrolled as a scholar in TESDA. actually cooking is my first love, and because lack of money the time that I was still studying. I didn't have the chance to take the course I really wanted when I was in college. But I do believe that if you love something you'll always find your way back to your first love. Now, I am a scholar of Cookery NC II in TESDA. This is our first task to make a video while cooking in our own kitchen at home.
In this video I will show you how to make an Egg Benedict in a simple way.
First, we need to make a poached egg.
How to poached an egg?
1. Simply first in a pot of near boiling water, put a 2 tbsp. of vinegar and 1 tbsp. salt.
2. Crack an egg in a small bowl.
3. Make whirl pool on the water to before dropping the egg carefully and slowly so that it will not break and it helps wrap the egg yolk.
4. After 2-3 minutes Scoop the poached egg and drain excess water and set aside.
While poaching the egg we can start cook the bacon ang toast the bread.
The next thing we need to do is the Hollandaise Sauce.
Now how to make a hollandaise sauce?
1. In a bowl mix 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp. of vinegar, 1 tbsp. of water and a pinch of salt.
2. Put the mixing bowl on the top of a pot with simmering water then while whisking.
3. Little by little add the melted butter and continue whisking until sauce is smooth and thickened.
4. Put the mixture aside.
Lastly is we will assemble the egg benedict.
1st, the English muffin
2nd, the bacon
3rd, the poached egg
4th, glaze it with the hollandaise sauce
And lastly add some seasonings and garnish.
