Ballet BC performed at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in 2013.
From British Columbia, one of today's top contemporary ballet companies brought a program of three diverse dance works bursting with intensity, theatricality, and fabulous skill. This gorgeous dance company performed A.U.R.A. (Anarchist Unit Related to Art), an uninhibited explosion of dance by Italian choreographer Jacopo Godani, and the elegant and witty Petite Cérémonie, which was set to music by Mozart, Puccini, and Vivaldi, created by Nederlands Dans Theater's Medhi Walerski. Artistic Director Emily Molnar's dance Aniel closed the show on a playful note, which was set to a delightfully eccentric score recorded by the Cracow Klezmer Band and saxophonist John Zorn's Masada String Trio.
