Follow up to yesterday's "Cloud Number Nine' cover. Commentary there.
From 'You Want It, You Got It', the second studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, released on July 21st, 1981.
This was the album that established the sound that Adams has retained throughout his recording career. Unlike Adams' debut album where he and co-writer Jim Vallance played most of the instruments themselves, You Want It You Got It was recorded live in the studio. The album was recorded at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec over a two-week period during the spring of 1981 and was mixed at The Power Station in New York City. The album was originally to be titled Bryan Adams Hasn't Heard Of You Either (due to critics' indifference to his first album and singles) but Adams' sense of humor didn't make it past the gatekeepers at the record company, who opted for the safer title.
The first single "Lonely Nights" eventually peaked at number 3 on the Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, Adams' largest hit on that chart until "Run to You" in 1985, while peaking at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100. Two further singles, 'Coming Home' and 'Fits Ya Good' met with positive reviews by critics, the latter becoming Adams' first Top 40 hit in Canada, peaking at number 30, and at number 15 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Someone put together a hometown video of Bryan's early roots here;
